We were very little, Mum took us to the Sovereign's Parade, it was a nice sunny day.
We couldn't see the Sovereign very well, but there were lots of soldiers, the officer cadets who were passing out. We could see the soldier on a white horse riding up the steps between the pillars into the white house.
However the wind had changed and the Rayburn, a coke fired stove, had burned very hot. Our lunch of mince was frazzled, Mum was most upset.
