This is an extremely simple and tasty recipe for one person (or for five, just quintuple the ingredients).

Rub salt and pepper into the meat and fry in oil until brown. DO NOT USE ONIONS! Add the apple and liquid to the pan and simmer for 15 minutes, adding more liquid as necessary, to make a thick apple sauce. The meat is cooked in and then served in the apple sauce.
